Owner and Speech Language Pathologist

Hi! I’m Tala Hershey, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) based in Lower Westchester, New York. I am a licensed SLP in New York and Connecticut with experience treating both children and adults with a variety of communication difficulties in both a private practice and a school setting. Currently, I also sit on the board of the Westchester Speech and Hearing Association. The types of therapy I provide include early intervention, articulation and phonology, expressive and receptive language, social communication, language-based reading and writing, voice, and stuttering/fluency.

I received my Bachelors of Science degree from Skidmore College as a psychology and music (vocal performance) double major. I received my Masters of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. Additionally, I have certifications and trainings in PROMPT therapy, Sounds In Motion, and DIR-Floortime.

Successful therapy is based on a patient-centered, collaborative approach. I work with parents, caregivers, spouses, educators, and other therapists to ensure carryover and generalization of techniques. Collaboration and family education is an integral part of successful therapy. My goal is to promote self-advocacy and independence in each of my clients.

Everyone needs a voice! Effective communication is the most powerful tool for children and adults, and it is my goal to help each client reach their highest potential. I work to provide speech and language services tailored to each specific client. No two people are the same, and no two people learn the same. Each session is client-centered, nurturing, and engaging to meet everyone’s unique learning styles.

I plan and provide treatment for a variety of communication disorders, pediatric feeding, and augmentative/alternative communication (i.e. low and high tech). I also have experience with various aspects of the Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Approach, Beckman's Oral Motor techniques, and Hanen's 'It Takes Two to Talk Strategies for Parents'. Speech Language Pathologist

Hello! My name is Jossy Gramajo, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD-BE. I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist. I earned both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Communication Disorders at Mercy College, NY. I earned my bilingual extension certification in Spanish at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, NY. I had the honor of traveling abroad and participating in medical mission trips to Colombia and Peru. I provided speech therapy to infants and children who had either a cleft lip, cleft palate, and/or microtia. In addition, I counseled families and provided techniques to use pre and post-surgery.

I have experience working with children from birth to adulthood and from medically-based to school-based settings. My therapy treatment focuses on a variety of communication disorders, pediatric feeding, AAC device, developing strategies for school-based students, and collaborating closely with educators, other service providers, and caregivers. I deliver support to families and provide strategic methods that can be carried over into the client’s natural environment. I believe in providing adequate speech services that will meet the client's goals and providing appropriate services to the bilingual population.
