Hi! I’m Tala Hershey, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) based in Lower Westchester, New York. I am a licensed SLP in New York and Connecticut with experience treating both children and adults with a variety of communication difficulties in both a private practice and a school setting. Currently, I also sit on the board of the Westchester Speech and Hearing Association. The types of therapy I provide include early intervention, articulation and phonology, expressive and receptive language, social communication, language-based reading and writing, voice, and stuttering/fluency.
I received my Bachelors of Science degree from Skidmore College as a psychology and music (vocal performance) double major. I received my Masters of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. Additionally, I have certifications and trainings in PROMPT therapy, Sounds In Motion, and DIR-Floortime.
Successful therapy is based on a patient-centered, collaborative approach. I work with parents, caregivers, spouses, educators, and other therapists to ensure carryover and generalization of techniques. Collaboration and family education is an integral part of successful therapy. My goal is to promote self-advocacy and independence in each of my clients.
Everyone needs a voice! Effective communication is the most powerful tool for children and adults, and it is my goal to help each client reach their highest potential. I work to provide speech and language services tailored to each specific client. No two people are the same, and no two people learn the same. Each session is client-centered, nurturing, and engaging to meet everyone’s unique learning styles.

I deliver support to families and provide strategic methods that can be carried over into the client’s natural environment. I believe in providing adequate speech services that will meet the client's goals and providing appropriate services to the bilingual population.
